About Jordan Anna Torres
Jordan Anna Torres (b. 2002 Guatemala) has been greatly involved with the arts and photography throughout her personal and professional life. Through the arts, it has influenced her to embrace and work with a variety of mediums and guide her education.
Growing up Torres always had a huge interest and enthusiasm for art class—in or out of school—with her first outside art classes focusing on drawing and painting. After years of working on drawing and painting, she turned her attention to graphic design and photography in high school for the school’s yearbook program, and began to do freelance photography outside of the classroom. During her senior year of high school, she took online courses with the Parsons School of Design, which led her to earn a finalist spot in the 2020 Drexel University’s High School Photography Contest.
Currently, Torres attends Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York in pursuit of a B.F.A in photography. During her time at Pratt Institute, Torres contributed her photography and writing to the student-run magazine The Prattler and news articles for the university. After her undergraduate studies, she plans to pursue her M.F.A in photography.
She splits her time between Virginia and New York.
